Microneedling At Hush Clinical

Microneedling and skin needling South Yarra

Your skin needs some regular maintenance to look it's best. However, over time, signs of aging like wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and uneven texture may appear, dampening its vitality.

That's where treatments like skin needling or micro needling step in, to give your skin a boost in collagen production to bring back youthful radiance. You might have heard of skin needling and thought it sounds painful or scary. No one likes needles!

We will demystify these techniques, offering you an in-depth understanding of skin and micro needling, the scientific principles behind them, and, of course, the benefits they bring to your skin.

Understanding the Techniques

Before we dive into the benefits, it's important you understand the techniques of skin needling and micro needling, There is many techniques and also devices.

It is hugely important to see someone well trained and check the device they use. Our favourite is Dermapen. They are the world leader in Skin Needling AND have the only TGA approved device and serums we inject. What is applied during your treatment makes a HUGE difference to your results.

Known as collagen induction therapy, skin needling is a non-invasive procedure that uses tiny needles to puncture the skin, creating a controlled skin injury. This prompts the body to heal itself by producing more collagen and elastin, leading to smoother and younger-looking skin.

We use the Dermapen system at Hush Clinical, Our dermal therapists are experienced with the
Dermapen device, enabling precise control over the needle penetration depth.

This flexibility allows the device to access various layers of your skin, ensuring a tailored treatment approach that addresses your specific skin concerns and fulfills your individual requirements. The use of Serums also impacts results,

We only use approved DP Dermaceutical serums and have the full range for all skin concerns. Including the new Exosomes which is next level rejuvenation

Skin needling in Melbourne, in gaining popularity and alongside
HIFU is the most popular service we perform at Hush Clinical.

It is a sought-after service for its effective anti-aging properties. The procedure, while it may sound intimidating, is actually quite painless, with most clients reporting feeling only a slight tingling sensation. A topical numbing cream can be applied to the skin if requested by the client.

The length of the needles used can be adjusted to cater to different skin types and concerns, making it a versatile treatment option.

The beauty of skin needling it is a much less invasive alternative to laser or surgery. The needling works by stimulating your body's natural healing process, encouraging it to produce more collagen and elastin.

This results in a reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. The treatments also improve the texture and tone of your skin, reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and pigmentation. It is our absolute favorite treatment for the eye area. No other device can get that close and help smooth and tighten the under eye skin. AMAZING!

Consider the following benefits of skin needling

Revitalisation of Aged Skin: The increase in collagen production helps to plump up your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Improved Skin Texture: The process helps to refine your skin's texture, making it smoother and softer to the touch.

Scar Reduction:The treatment can also reduce the visibility of acne and other types of scars.

Skin Brightening: Increased blood flow brightens your skin tone, giving you a fresh and youthful glow.

Pore Size Reduction:The needling process can help to minimise the size of your pores, giving your skin a smoother appearance.

How this works is when the micro-needles create tiny punctures in the skin, it triggers the body's wound healing process. This process stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, two key proteins that keep your skin firm and elastic. Consequently, the new skin tissue that forms is smoother, more toned, and has fewer wrinkles.

Moreover, the punctures also enable better absorption of anti-aging serums, making them more effective.

The enhanced absorption of serums is particularly advantageous for individuals who utilize high-quality medical-grade (cosmeceutical) skincare products. Unlike most products that merely sit on the surface of the skin without deeply penetrating, microneedling creates channels that allow for up to 80% more topical nutrients to reach the deeper layers, nourishing the fibroblasts within the dermis and basal layer.

We take full advantage of this and offer the latest in skin care with infusing Exsomes with our micro needling treatments. You can read more about it here

Skin needling can help control of your skin's aging process, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging. The treatments offer a natural way to stimulate your skin's own healing process, rejuvenating your skin from the inside out.

The result is a fresher, younger-looking complexion that you will love.

And the best part? It's a non-invasive, relatively painless procedure with minimal downtime. So, why not give it a try and see the difference it can make in your skin's texture, tone, and overall appearance!

Scarring Reduction

Skin needling or micro needling can be a game changer when it comes to reducing the appearance of scars. Its one of the only treatmetns that can actually reduce acne or any scarring with basically no downtime.

Whether it's acne scars, surgical scars, or those annoying marks from a childhood scrape, these treatments can help you bid them goodbye. The process involves using fine needles to puncture the skin, stimulating the body's natural healing process and promoting the production of collagen and elastin, which are crucial for skin regeneration.

So, how does this work exactly? Picture this: the needles create tiny, controlled injuries on the skin, to which your body responds by producing more collagen and elastin to heal the wounds. This increased production leads to the formation of new skin tissue, which gradually replaces the scar tissue. Over time, this results in a smoother, more even complexion.

The beauty of this treatment is that it doesn't involve any chemicals or heat, so there's less risk of side effects or damage to the skin. And can be performed safely on all skin colours.

You might be thinking, 'Sounds great, but does it hurt?' The good news is, while the process might sound a bit intimidating, most people find skin needling and micro needling tolerable. You might experience some redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, but this usually subsides within a couple of days.

It's important to remember that everyone's skin is different, so the number of treatments required and the results can vary from person to person.

Improving Skin Texture

Did you know that over 80% of Australians are concerned about the texture of their skin? If you're part of this statistic, there's good news for you. Skin needling and micro needling are innovative procedures that can dramatically improve the texture of your skin.

These treatments work by creating controlled injury to the skin, which prompts your body to heal and form new skin cells. The result? A smoother, more youthful complexion that you'll love to show off.

Here are three key ways these treatments improve skin texture:

1. Stimulation of Collagen Production: The tiny needles used in these procedures puncture the skin, causing a slight injury. This prompts your body's natural healing response, which includes the production of collagen. Increased collagen levels lead to plumper, smoother skin.

2. Exfoliation: As the needle punctures your skin, it also removes dead skin cells from the surface. This process of exfoliation reveals the fresher, healthier skin underneath, improving its overall texture and appearance. Also encouraging your skin to turnover faster resulting in better skin!

3. Improved Product Absorption: Post-treatment, your skin can absorb skincare products more effectively. The tiny channels created by the needles allow these products to penetrate deeper into your skin, enhancing their efficacy.

Choosing to undergo skin needling or micro needling can be a game-changer for your skin's texture. The process is minimally invasive and can be tailored to your specific needs. After a few sessions, you'll notice your skin becoming smoother, more even, and radiating with a healthy glow. And the best part? These improvements continue over time as your skin keeps producing new collagen.

So, don't let a rough, uneven skin texture dampen your confidence. Give micro needling a go and feel the difference in your skin's texture. Remember, the key to beautiful skin is not just about what you apply on it, but also about how you treat it.

The Science Behind the Treatments

It is a minimally invasive treatment that involves the use of tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin, creating micro-channels. These channels trigger the body's natural healing process, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for skin health. This results in the skin becoming firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking.

The magic of microneedling lies in the body's innate healing process. When the skin is injured, the body responds by producing more collagen and elastin to repair the damage. By deliberately causing micro-injuries to the skin, microneedling exploits this natural process for cosmetic benefits. It's like outsmarting your skin into becoming more beautiful - clever, isn't it?

Further, microneedling can also enhance the absorption of skincare products. The micro-channels created during the treatment act as direct pathways for products to penetrate deeper into the skin. This makes your skincare routine more effective, as active ingredients can reach the deeper layers of the skin where they can have the most impact.

So, microneedling doesn't just improve your skin's appearance - it also turbocharges your skincare routine. It's a win-win situation for your skin! By triggering your body's natural healing process and enhancing the efficacy of skincare products, microneedling is a comprehensive approach to skin health.

And the best part? It's all based on science and your body's own natural capabilities.

It's like giving your skin a little nudge and then letting it do the rest. Now that's what we call smart beauty!

Most Sensitive Skin Isn't Actually Sensitive The Skin Barrier Truth Most People Never Hear By Jess, Owner of HUSH Clinical | 30 Years of Skin Experience Every week I meet people who tell me they have sensitive skin. Their skin is red. It stings. It feels tight. Products suddenly irritate them. Nothing seems to work anymore. And after more than 30 years treating skin, I've noticed something interesting. Around 90% of these clients don't actually have what I would consider true sensitive skin. What they have is a damaged skin barrier. What Is The Skin Barrier? Your skin barrier is your body's natural protective shield. Think of it as the brick wall that keeps moisture in and irritants out. When your skin barrier is healthy, your skin feels: Comfortable Balanced Hydrated Calm Resilient When the barrier becomes damaged, everything changes. Suddenly your skin becomes: Red Reactive Tight Dry Itchy Easily irritated Most people assume they have sensitive skin. In reality, their skin is simply crying out for help. How Do People Damage Their Skin Barrier? The biggest causes I see include: Over-Cleansing Many people believe that squeaky-clean skin equals healthy skin. It doesn't. If your skin feels tight after cleansing, you've likely removed too much of your skin's natural protection. Too Many Active Ingredients Retinol. Vitamin C. Acids. Peels. Exfoliants. These ingredients can be fantastic when used correctly. But when clients start layering multiple active products without guidance, the skin often becomes overwhelmed. Following Social Media Trends TikTok and Instagram have convinced many people that more products equal better results. The truth? Most people need fewer products, not more. Over-Exfoliation One of the most common mistakes I see. Exfoliation can improve skin texture and brightness, but too much exfoliation strips the barrier and leaves the skin vulnerable. The Signs Of A Damaged Skin Barrier You may have barrier damage if: Products suddenly sting Your skin feels tight after cleansing You experience unexplained redness Your skin feels dry but also breaks out Moisturisers don't seem to work anymore Your skin reacts to products you've used for years These symptoms are often mistaken for sensitivity. What I Recommend Instead The first thing I do is simplify. We stop chasing the next miracle product. We focus on restoring the skin. Step 1: Use A Gentle Cleanser One of my favourites is Synergie UltraCleanse . It removes makeup, sunscreen and daily buildup without leaving the skin feeling stripped or tight. Step 2: Reduce Active Ingredients Sometimes less really is more. Giving the skin a chance to recover can make a dramatic difference. Step 3: Focus On Barrier Repair Some of my favourite products for compromised skin include: Dr Spiller Sanvita Cream Eco by Sonya Glory Oil Eco by Sonya Super Fruit Hydrator Synergie DermaCalm These products help support hydration, comfort and skin barrier recovery. Step 4: Be Patient The skin barrier doesn't repair overnight. Consistency is often more important than intensity. My Biggest Skincare Tip After treating thousands of skins over the years, one thing has become very clear. Most people don't need stronger skincare. They need healthier skin. When the skin barrier is functioning properly, many common concerns improve naturally. Less redness. Less irritation. Better hydration. Healthier-looking skin. Not Sure If Your Skin Is Sensitive Or Barrier Damaged? That's where professional advice makes all the difference. At HUSH Clinical, we offer complimentary skin consultations to help identify what's really happening with your skin and create a plan that's tailored to you. Because the right skincare doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes it's simply about giving your skin what it needs most.
