How Long Does HIFU Take To Work?

Generally, skin-firming results are noticeable after the treatment but results will continue to be seen over the next three months after the treatment. The full effects are noticeable after six months when the new collagen has built up in the skin. Here are a few points worth noting:


  1. A single session of HIFU can last between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. This, however, depends on the size and area of treatment and each patient's needs.
  2. For older patients with greater laxity we recommend 2/3 treatments 6/8 weeks apart. Those after age prevention 1 treatment yearly is a perfect plan.
  3. Aftercare is also important for successful results from HIFU treatments. Again, following your skin therapists advice regarding lifestyle and skincare habits can ensure you get the best possible outcome from your HIFU treatment. Sun exposure is the biggest risk! We have promoted new collagen we need to protect it from the sun. HATS and SUNSCREEN are imperative the weeks following treatment.

How Long Do Results Last?

HIFU treatments can last up to two years. Once you have achieved the result you are wanting, there is no need for ongoing top ups.

Their skin is red. It stings. It feels tight. Products suddenly irritate them. Nothing seems to work anymore. And after more than 30 years treating skin, I've noticed something interesting. Around 90% of these clients don't actually have what I would consider true sensitive skin. What they have is a damaged skin barrier. What Is The Skin Barrier? Your skin barrier is your body's natural protective shield. Think of it as the brick wall that keeps moisture in and irritants out.
